St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department investigates death of 3-year-old at local daycare

PARK HILLS, Mo., (KBSI) — The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 3-year-old child at a local daycare facility.

The department was contacted by the Park Hills Police Department on Friday and asked to conduct an independent investigation due to the daycare’s owner being a Park Hills City Council member.

Detectives immediately launched an inquiry and are working to uncover all relevant facts surrounding the incident.

The sheriff’s department is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
