Steele man arrested on burglary, tampering with motor vehicle charges

STEELE, Mo. (KBSI) – A Steele man faces a burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle charge after police were called to investigate a burglary at an auto dealership.

Eric Hinklin, 42, of Steele faces burglary 2nd degree and tampering with a motor vehicle 1st degree charges, according to the Steele Police Department.

Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield was called to investigate a burglary and stolen car from Grizzly Auto Sales on West Main Street on April 23.

The stolen car was found abandoned outside of Steele. A witness provided police with a description of the suspect.

No bond has been set for Hinklin.
