STODDARD COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is warning the public to avoid contact with a hazardous liquid product known as “Octane,” which authorities say contains a Schedule I controlled substance.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the product contains MDMB-4en-PINACA, a synthetic cannabinoid classified as a Schedule I substance under Missouri law. Officials said the product has been marketed by a limited number of local retailers and is considered both dangerous and illegal.

The office said no one should consume the product due to health and safety risks. Authorities also warned that possession, distribution, delivery or sale of “Octane” is prohibited by Missouri law and could result in criminal charges.

The prosecuting attorney’s office ordered all individuals and businesses involved in the sale or exchange of the product to immediately cease and desist or face investigation and prosecution under Chapter 579 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.

The statement was issued by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Sawyer Smith and released in the interest of public safety and law enforcement.
