Stoddard County sheriff’s office announces death of Deputy Tony Cooper

STODDARD COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office announced the death of Deputy Tony Cooper and is mourning the loss of a longtime member of the department.
Cooper served the county as a law enforcement officer for several years. In a statement, the sheriff’s office described him as a dedicated deputy, mentor and colleague who was deeply respected within the department.
“Deputy Cooper served our county in a mighty way,” the department said, noting his commitment to public service and the positive impact he had on those around him.
The sheriff’s office asked the community to keep Cooper’s family, friends and fellow deputies in their prayers as they honor his service and legacy.
