Storms bring down trees, cause power outages in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Strong storms and heavy rain moved through Graves County on Monday evening, bringing down trees and causing scattered power outages.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the heaviest rain and strongest winds were reported primarily north of Mayfield and Fancy Farm, extending toward the McCracken and Marshall county lines.
Authorities said numerous reports of downed trees were received across the area. Local fire departments responded to assist with clearing roadways, while utility crews worked to restore power to affected residents.
The sheriff’s office thanked emergency responders and utility workers for their efforts during the storm response.
No injuries were immediately reported.
