Students participate in ‘Job Olympics’ for Missouri University’s Pre-Employment Services

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KBSI)- On Friday March 22nd, the Poplar Bluff Regional Transition Atlas for Youth team partnered up with Missouri University’s Pre-Employment Transition Services and held their annual Job Olympics event.

There were over 90 students in attendance from 11 different local schools.

There were 12 different events that students had the option of competing in.

All events were timed and scored based on a rubric system, allowing them to earn either bronze, silver, or gold medals.

This year Poplar Bluff High School took a total of 13 students, 7 of them earning 1 to multiple medals in their events.

In addition, a medal was awarded to one of Poplar Bluff High School’s seniors, for going above and beyond, earning the title of “overall Olympian.”
