Suspect arrested after stolen vehicle pursuit in Dunklin County
DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo. — Dunklin County deputies responded to a stolen vehicle investigation in Malden on Feb. 27, 2025, assisting the Malden Department of Public Safety.
A vehicle reported stolen from a local impound lot was spotted traveling west on Dunklin County Road 102. When a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled, leading to a pursuit that continued for several miles.
The suspect vehicle eventually exited the roadway and stopped, with the driver fleeing on foot. Authorities used a drone with thermal imaging to locate and arrest the suspect without incident.
The suspect was transported to the Dunklin County Jail.
The suspect’s name is being withheld pending formal charges from the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Malden Department of Public Safety and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for their assistance.
