Take the Plunge: Cape Girardeau event benefits Special Olympics Missouri

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Cape Girardeau Polar Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics Missouri, will take place on Feb. 8th at the Cape County Park.

Participants will brave the cold winter waters to show their support for local athletes. Last year’s event drew 134 participants and raised over $70,600.

The event promises a fun atmosphere with music, costumes and lasting memories. Day-of registration begins at noon, with the plunge starting at 2 p.m.
