Technical issues disrupt ACT testing in Vienna
VIENNA, Ill., (KBSI) — Technical issues with the ACT on April 8 caused delayed start times for students in Vienna, prompting concerns about the impact on test scores.
Superintendent Dr. Joshua Stafford said the district’s priority is ensuring the glitch doesn’t negatively affect individual students. Students can retake the test at no additional cost by contacting school officials.
Stafford noted that while the ACT serves as an accountability assessment, it’s not the only measure of student success.
The district considers multiple factors, including post-high school career plans, graduation rates and extracurricular achievements.
A statewide technical issue affected ACT testing across Illinois. More information is available at (ACT glitch prevented thousands of Illinois students from finishing test – Chalkbeat).
