Teen shooting in Kennett, 1 in custody, victim airlifted with life-threatening injuries
KENNETT, Mo., (KBSI) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Domino’s Pizza on Independence Ave. around 12 p.m. after a report of a gunshot victim Tuesday.
According to Police Chief Kenny Wilson, officers responded to the scene of the 2000 block of Bradley Street. A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested in connection with the shooting and remains in custody at the Kennett Police Department.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was airlifted to an area hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, with life-threatening injuries. It was revealed the victim had run to the pizza restaurant’s parking lot.
The juvenile faces pending charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action
Wilson said not all of the victim’s next of kin have been notified.
