Tenn. woman facing murder charge in 2020 death of husband

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. (KBSI) – A Tennessee woman faces a murder charge in the 2020 death of her husband.

Keleta K. Turnage, 51, of Troy, Tenn. was arrested at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 5 after a two year investigation into the death of her husband, Bobby G. Turnage, also of Troy.

On June 24, 2020, Obion County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home on Marion Thompson Drive in Troy of possible shots fired.

When deputies arrived, they found Bobby Turnage dead in the driveway of an apparent gunshot wound.

Keleta Turnage was on scene and told deputies Bobby shot himself during an argument, according to the Obiol County Sheriff’s Office.

After a lengthy investigation, evidence was presented to the October 2022 term of Grand Jury in which a True Bill was granted. That allowed official an murder charge to be filed against Keleta.

Keleta Turnage is custody at the Obion County Jail. Her arraignment in Obion County Circuit Court is set for Wednesday, October 19.
