Annual SEMO District Fair returns to Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo. (KBSI) – The annual SEMO District Fair makes its return in Southeast Missouri this weekend.

The yearly event is held in Arena Park and features many family friendly events.

This year’s entertainment features tent activities, competitions and contests, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club, and many more events the community might not be able to see as often.

Jacob Turner, who is a candidate for State Senate 27, recognizes the benefit the fair holds for the community.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together, to share this beautiful weather, to watch a lot of good entertainment.” according to Tuner.

The fair will be open from Saturday September 9 through Saturday September 16.

Tickets are $5 and free for those under 12.
