The Grinch ‘captured’ in Dexter during holiday fundraiser

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — The Grinch has been “taken into custody” by the Missouri State Highway Patrol during this year’s Shop with a Hero – Stoddard County fundraiser.

Officials said the mock arrest took place at the Dexter Police Department, where the Grinch was “held” for the playful charge of theft of bail bonds.

The lighthearted event served as a fundraiser that raised $8,893 and brought plenty of smiles to the community.

Organizers said the effort was a fun way to kick off the holiday season while supporting a meaningful cause.
