Haunted Hall of Horror returns for its 32nd year

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI)- In honor of spooky season, the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its 32nd Haunted Hall of Horror at the A.C. Brase Arena and Cape Girardeau fire and police departments joined in on the fun.

Officer Bobby Newton experienced the Haunted Hall and said, “This is a great event that the parks and rec put on, they do a phenomenal job at having a lot of the characters here, and the amount of work they put into it is just amazing.”
The haunted hall will take you on a long, dark journey through the nooks and crannies of the arena building.
But one important part of the haunted hall is keeping those who enjoy it safe.
Drew St. John is the Fire Marshal for Cape Fire Department, and he says safety is always the first priority with events that take place in the city.

He says, “If somebody needs to get out for whatever reason they’re having a medical issue or anything that they can get out easily if there was an issue.”

The fire department is required to do fire safety checks for the haunted hall of horror every year.
St. John says, “We just want to make sure that when people come out to the haunted house, they’re just out here to have a good time.”

Those who enter should be prepared for endless mazes, full of creepy clowns, a 3-D freak show, asylum, dolls that come alive, and much more.
