Thorpedo Anna back in winning form in Fleur de Lis Stakes
LOUISVILLE, Ky., (KBSI) — Thorpedo Anna proved her mettle as a 4-year-old, capturing her seventh stakes title in the $498,500 Fleur de Lis Stakes at Churchill Downs on June 28.
The daughter of Fast Anna, bred and co-owned by Judy Hicks, demonstrated her remarkable talent, earning a Horse of the Year accolade in 2024.
Thorpedo Anna led Royal Spa by a half-length through early fractions and eventually crossed the wire three lengths ahead, finishing in 1:48.52. Trainer Kenny McPeek looks forward to upcoming races, including the Personal Ensign, with the ultimate goal of defending her title in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff.
