Three arrested following Paducah drug investigation

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Three people were arrested following a drug investigation in Paducah, according to the Paducah Police Department.

Police said drug detectives attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Jacob Feltner, 26, of Paducah on Sept. 23 as part of an investigation. Feltner allegedly fled from detectives in the vehicle. Officers did not pursue him.

Police later found the vehicle near Feltner’s residence in the 200 block of Cedar Avenue. The vehicle was seized, and officers executed a search warrant at the residence. Feltner was not there at the time, police said.

During the search, officers arrested John Carlson, 44, and Ashley Taber, 31, both of Paducah, after police said methamphetamine was found.

Carlson is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance involving methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Taber is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance involving methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives located Feltner on Sept. 25 in the 1700 block of Kentucky Avenue and took him into custody without incident.

Feltner is charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance involving methamphetamine and first-degree fleeing or evading police.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.

The charges are allegations. The defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
