Three arrested in connection with Scott City vehicle break-ins
SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Three men were arrested and charged in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in Scott City.
Jeremiah Twiggs II, of Cape Girardeau, and Vaquon D. Johnson, also of Cape Girardeau, were each charged with two counts of tampering in the second degree, class A misdemeanors.
Atyren Z. Daso, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was charged with multiple counts, including felony stealing, resisting arrest and tampering in the second degree.
The arrests were made after officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at Oak Street Apartments on July 5. An investigation led to the discovery of several unlocked vehicles that had been entered and property taken.
Police are encouraging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. The investigation is ongoing.
