Three arrested in connection with vehicle theft in Benton, KY

BENTON, Ky., (KBSI) — Three suspects were arrested on Feb. 8, 2025, in connection with a reported vehicle theft, according to the Benton Police Department.

The theft occurred between Feb. 5-8, 2025, from an auto business on Main Street. After receiving a report at 10:30 a.m., officers entered the vehicle into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

Later that day, at 4:30 p.m., an employee spotted the stolen vehicle at an address on Oak Level Road near Jackson School Road. Officers located the vehicle, which was parked behind a camper and partially covered with a tarp.

The three suspects arrested were:

– Cody Gough, 19: Charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a motor vehicle ($1,000-$10,000) and failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense).
– Timothy Evans, 19: Charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a motor vehicle ($1,000-$10,000), failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense), second-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
– Kaleb Miller, 18: Charged with complicity to commit theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a motor vehicle ($1,000-$10,000).

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
