Three juveniles charged in attempted burglaries on Murray’s south side

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — Three juveniles have been charged after multiple attempted burglaries were reported on the south side of the city, according to the Murray Police Department.

Officers were dispatched around 9:43 p.m. April 3 to several residences for reports of attempted break-ins. Police said suspects tried to kick in doors at multiple homes, causing damage to doors and door frames.

With assistance from the Murray State University Police Department, officers located three suspects, all of whom were identified as juveniles.

All three were charged with three counts of first-degree criminal mischief and three counts of second-degree attempted burglary.

Police said the charges are allegations, and the juveniles are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
