POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Three Rivers College has closed its campus indefinitely due to extensive storm damage that has left a significant portion of its facilities unusable.

College officials reported Monday that roughly half of the 80-acre campus sustained damage from the recent storm, with the dorms and Crisp Technology Center being the hardest hit.

According to college administrators, 81 students have been displaced as a result of the damage, while others are being temporarily housed in the dorms. The college is working to make arrangements for the displaced students, including providing alternative housing options.

The closure has also disrupted academic activities, with classes canceled until further notice. College officials are assessing the damage and developing a plan to restore normal operations as soon as possible.

The college community is coming together to support those affected by the storm, with faculty, staff, and students working to provide assistance and resources to those in need.
