Three Rivers College receives $1 Million EDA grant for workforce development

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI)- The U.S. Department of Commerce is investing $1 million in Missouri’s building trades workforce development. This grant, awarded to Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, will equip the new Bootheel Technical Training Center with the tools needed for hands-on training in electrical, HVAC, manufacturing, and welding trades.

The funding will be matched with $250,000 in local funds, demonstrating a collaborative effort to strengthen Missouri’s economy. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo emphasized that this investment aligns with the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda, aiming to provide communities with resources for economic growth and resilience.
