Three Rivers College’s Behavioral Health support program earns re-certification

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) – Three Rivers College’s Behavioral Health Support program has renewed its distinguished certification, solidifying its reputation as a premier program in mental health education.

The program’s re-designation by the Division of Behavioral Health as an approved participant for the Associate Degree of Behavioral Health Support program is a testament to the college’s commitment to mental health education and community support.

Corey Reynolds, program coordinator, expressed gratitude to Cindy Davis, Vice President of Workforce Solutions at the Missouri Behavioral Health Council, and the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health, for their unwavering support and leadership.

The certification, valid through May 2028, confirms the qualifications of Three Rivers students to work in Department of Mental Health and Department of Behavioral Health contracted facilities.

The 18-month program prepares students for entry-level positions in substance use disorder, disabilities, education, mental health, and psychiatric care, with a focus on trauma-informed training and interdisciplinary collaboration.
