POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Three Rivers Endowment Trust has received a grant from the MFA Oil Foundation to support the development of an outdoor seating and collaboration area outside the Bess Activity Center, which is undergoing renovation.

The new space is intended to provide seating and outdoor games for students and community members visiting Three Rivers College.

“This grant will greatly help us provide seating and outdoor games for both students and community members visiting Three Rivers College,” said Michelle Reynolds, the college’s director of development. “We appreciate the generosity and support of the MFA Oil Foundation.”

The MFA Oil Foundation supports nonprofit organizations working to improve communities where MFA Oil has a strong presence. Since its establishment in 1998, the foundation has awarded more than $3 million in grants.

“The MFA Oil Foundation is a great asset to MFA Oil Company and the areas we serve,” said James Greer, chairman of the MFA Oil Foundation. “Supporting organizations committed to improving communities and quality of life aligns with our cooperative principles of giving back.”

Three Rivers students receive more than $14 million in financial aid annually, and all students are automatically considered for more than 280 scholarships by completing the admissions application and submitting the FAFSA.

The Three Rivers Endowment Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization that manages donations on behalf of the college. Those interested in supporting scholarships, building projects or other college needs may contact the Development Office at 573-840-9077.
