Three seriously injured in Charleston shooting

CHARLESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Three people were seriously injured in a shooting early Friday morning.

Police were notified of the shooting near Lee and Vine Streets around 1:30 a.m. Friday. Officers from the Charleston Department of Public Safety and Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office responded.

The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Oliver Street, police said.

All three victims were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries. The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
