Touch of Nature, SIU Sustainability to host community grill-out for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center and SIU Sustainability will host a “Feeding Our Community” grill-out on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Town Square Pavilion as part of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

The event aims to support unhoused residents and foster community connections. Organizers encourage anyone interested to stop by, share a meal and meet neighbors.
