Traffic alerts issued for Sikeston events

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Motorists are advised to expect heavier traffic and parking restrictions in Sikeston due to upcoming events.

On June 19, the Juneteenth Festival will be held at Lincoln Park, with restricted parking along W. North Street. Traffic congestion is expected around W. North, N. West and the Lincoln Park area.

On June 20-21, the Hot Air Balloon Festival will take place at the Jaycee Rodeo Grounds. Increased traffic is anticipated around N. Ingram, Linn, Salcedo and State Route HH.

Motorists are urged to drive carefully and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
