Traffic down to 1 lane on Hwy. 58 in Hickman County after gravel truck overturns

HICKMAN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Traffic is down to one lane after a gravel truck overturned in Hickman County Tuesday morning.

The truck overturned on Hwy. 58 East near the 13.5 mile point, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The driver is out of the truck and “only banged up a bit,” according to the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office.

The Hickman County Rescue Squad is handling traffic control to maintain one lane of traffic with alternating flow. Crews anticipate a tow truck will arrive around noon. At that time, KY 58 will have to be closed to all traffic to allow the dump truck and loose gravel to be removed.

The road is expected to be impacted until about 1:46 p.m.

Driver are asked to slow down while authorites clear the scene.

No detour had been established.
