Traffic stop in Kentucky leads to possession charges and more

Calloway County, Ky. (KBSI) – On August 24, 2024, around 6:00pm, narcotics detectives with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office did a traffic stop on US Hwy 641N near Coles Campground Rd. for traffic violations.

According to the Calloway County Facebook page the driver Ronald Fry aged 58 of Murry Kentucky, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine along with hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Fry was currently on parole for numerous felony convictions including manufacturing methamphetamine.

On September 6, 2024, deputies, with the assistance of Probation and Parole, arrested Fry on warrants stemming from this investigation. Fry faces charges of

-Poss of Contr Subst 1st Deg, 1st Off- Methamphetamine (Class D felony)
-Poss of Contr Subst 2nd Deg-Hallucinogen
-Poss of Drug Paraphernalia
-Parole Violation Warrant
-Traffic Violations
Fry was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center where he is being held with no bond.
