Traffic stop leads to arrest of man for failure to register as sex offender

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – An Illinois man was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.

On June 14, at 11:01 a.m., a Williamson County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Illinois State Route 13.

The driver, Herbert J. Grimm, had failed to register his sex offender status since November 2022.

Grimm was arrested and issued a citation for violation of sex offender registry.

He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
