Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Powderly, Ky. man faces drug and other charges after McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on September 11.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Mercury passenger vehicle on Silk Tree Blvd at 1:13 a.m.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver was in possession of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and other items releated to drug paraphernalia, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert M. Oliver, 38, faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess, rear license not illuminated and operating on suspended or revoked operators license.

Oliver was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
