Traffic stop leads to drug bust

DONIPHAN, Mo. (KBSI) -Traffic stop leads to meth arrest.

According to the Doniphan Police Department on December 27, 2024, at approximately 6:00 pm an officer with the Doniphan Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Jackson Street for expired registration.
The driver was identified as Christopher C Smith age 45 of Doniphan.
Officers found that Smith had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation with no bond and Smith was in possession of a controlled substance.
Smith was booked and taken to the Ripley County Detention Center on the following charges:
Class D Felony possession of a controlled substance.
Class E Felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Parole Violation.
