Traffic stop turned arrest in Hurst, IL

HURST, IL (KBSI)  – Williamson County deputies noticed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Deputies pulled over the car in the parking lot of Casey’s Gas Station in Hurst, IL. Officers discovered the man’s driver’s license had been expired since 2005 and smelled strong odors of cannabis. When asked about the smell, the suspect gave police officers a glass pipe used for smoking cannabis. The man also provided officers with a bag of marijuana. Police conducted a search of the car where they discovered methamphetamine located in a backpack.

  • Methamphetamine Possession
  • Possession Of Adult Use Cannabis In A Motor Vehicle
  • No Valid Driver’s License
  • Failure To Wear A Seat Belt
