Trial date set for man accused of killing teen girl in CVS parking lot

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A trial date has been set for Tre’marion Jones.

Jones is accused of killing a teenage girl in the parking lot of CVS in Cape Girardeau.

According to court records the jury trial for Jones will begin on January 7, 2025, at 8:30 am.

Jones is being charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and several other charges.

Jones is being charged with first degree murder and other charges after he allegedly shot and killed 17-year-old KeMari Childress in February.

Jones has plead not guilty to his charges.
