Truck blockage shuts down W Illinois 13 near Crab Orchard Lake

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is advising motorists that westbound Illinois Route 13 near Crab Orchard Lake is currently impassable after a tractor-trailer became stuck in the roadway Monday.
Deputies said the truck, which was delivering steel to a nearby construction site, is blocking all westbound lanes. Crews are on scene working to remove the vehicle.
Drivers traveling between Carterville and Carbondale are urged to use alternate routes and secondary roads until the area is reopened.
The sheriff’s office said an update will be issued once the roadway is safe for travel.
