Twin Lakes Construction donates improvements to Calloway County workhouse

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — Twin Lakes Construction has donated materials and labor to repaint the exterior of the Calloway County Jail’s Class D Workhouse Facility.

Lt. Taylor Black contacted the company while exploring affordable options to update the building. After learning about the proposed project, owner Matthew Kohlenberger offered to provide the necessary materials and labor at no cost.

Kohlenberger and his crew painted the entire building Wednesday despite the summer heat. The company also plans to donate new window shutters and return later to paint the porch roof.

Jail officials thanked the company for investing in the facility and the community.
