ST. LOUIS, Mo., (KBSI) — The Saint Louis Zoo announced the birth of two Amur leopard cubs on Aug. 13, 2025.
The cubs are the second litter for 7-year-old parents Dot and Samson. Zoo officials said the births mark a significant addition to the critically endangered species, with only about 100 Amur leopards remaining in the wild.
Dot and the cubs are bonding in a private indoor maternity den and are not yet on public view. The zoo said it will be several months before the family makes its public debut, but photos and video updates will be shared online in the meantime at stlzoo.org/LeopardCubs.
