Two arrested after alleged burglary at Smith Mansion in Smithland

SMITHLAND, Ky., (KBSI) — Two men were arrested Saturday after deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at the Smith Mansion in Smithland, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the historic property on Court Street at approximately 7:50 p.m. June 6.
Authorities said two individuals fled the residence on foot when deputies arrived. Following a brief search, both suspects were located and taken into custody.
Aiden Shirkrisin, 18, of Kuttawa, was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree fleeing or evading police.
Nathan Lapradd, 18, of Marion, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree fleeing or evading police.
Both were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Deputy Brandon Vargas.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
