Two arrested in assault at Murray fraternity lodge

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Murray Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with an assault reported at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity lodge on Nov. 22.
Following an investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for James Booker, 18, and Kamarion Steward, 18, both of Clinton, Kentucky. The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office and the Mayfield Police Department assisted in taking both individuals into custody on Dec. 4.
Booker is charged with second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and menacing. Steward is charged with fourth-degree assault, complicity to first-degree wanton endangerment and complicity to menacing.
Police say the investigation remains active, and no additional information will be released at this time.
The department reminds the public that all individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
