Two arrested in McCracken County shooting investigation
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Deputies from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting on Feb. 8, 2025, at 5440 Lovelaceville Road, where they found Damareon Prather, 30, of Paducah, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Prather was transported to a local hospital and later transferred to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of incapacitating injuries.
A search warrant executed at the residence revealed a marijuana grow operation, a stolen firearm, and suspected cocaine. Joshua White, 33, of Paducah, was charged with receiving stolen property, cultivating marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation led to the identification of Aaron Blake Walker, 31, of West Paducah, as the suspect in the shooting. Walker was arrested on Feb. 10, 2025, at 9465 McCaw Road, and charged with assault and multiple drug-related offenses.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office thanked Mercy Regional EMS and the Lone Oak Fire Department for their assistance in the investigation.
