Two Cape Girardeau authors write children’s books together

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Two friends from Cape Girardeau have been writing children’s books together.

Barbara Baily and Aaron Horrell write and illustrate colorful books for younger ages, and they’ve been pretty successful!

They’ve published about 16 different books together.

Together they were first place winners of the 2017 All Write Now Conference and their books are sold on Amazon.

Barb Bailey runs an art gallery in Cape Girardeau where she paints different types of paintings, with the help of her friend Aaron Horrell.

Together the two work as a team to hand paint and write stories based in the local area for children.

Bailey says they’ve wrote multiple books together.

Artist and Writer Barb Bailey says So far we have sixteen and were currently working on a five-volume series that we started about a year ago.

Some of the books are based in areas or places that children who live in the area can recognize.

Many of the stories are written with different animals the team came up with.

Horrell shares what he hopes to accomplish with their next book.

“I really hope that Bandi The Rescue Pilot gets some nationwide publicity,” says Horrell,” because it is going to be a series of five volumes and they field, Bandi will field phone calls from animals in every state in the United States.”

Two artists are putting their passions together and creating books for children.

If you would like to purchase any of the books you can do so at the art gallery located in Cape Girardeau or you can also order through amazon.
