Two hospitalized after crash on U.S. 60 in McCracken County

McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) — Two people were taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in McCracken County.

Deputies responded to the crash near the intersection of U.S. 60 and Mayfield-Metropolis Road around 7 a.m.

A preliminary investigation found that Sue Dowdy of Barlow was driving a 2022 Hyundai Tucson toward Paducah on U.S. 60 when a juvenile driving a 2010 Ford Flex turned in front of her, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. The two vehicles collided.

Sue Dowdy and her passenger, Samantha Dowdy, were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered incapacitating.

West McCracken Fire Protection District, Mercy Regional Emergency Medical Services and Bailey’s Towing assisted deputies at the scene.
