Two injured in single-vehicle crash on Old Dukedom Road

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Two Mayfield men were injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Old Dukedom Road, according to deputies.

Authorities said deputies Bobby Turner and Andrew Prusaczyk were dispatched at about 6:19 p.m. Jan. 20 to a reported injury collision near KY 1748E.

The investigation determined that Yadriel Vargas-Aviles, 20, was driving a red 2025 Subaru westbound on Old Dukedom Road when the vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, overcorrected and struck a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Dustin E. Willits, 20, was also injured.

Both men sustained non-incapacitating injuries. Vargas-Aviles was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, while Willits was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Wingo Fire Department and Glen’s Towing.
