Two juveniles arrested after vandalism at Mike Miller Park

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Two juveniles were arrested early Monday morning after deputies responded to reports of a four-wheeler inside Mike Miller Park after hours, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched around 3 a.m. Feb. 17 and discovered vandalism to a statue at the park’s Veterans Plaza. Authorities said they heard a four-wheeler in the distance and later located it nearby.

A brief foot pursuit followed before deputies apprehended two male juveniles — a 16-year-old from Paducah and a 17-year-old from Calvert City.

Both were charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a Class D felony; second-degree criminal trespassing, a Class B misdemeanor; and second-degree fleeing or evading police, a Class A misdemeanor.

The juveniles were lodged at the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.
