Two juveniles arrested in Carbondale vehicle burglary investigation

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Carbondale police arrested two juvenile males Sunday morning in connection with a burglary to a motor vehicle in the 1100 block of East Grand Avenue.

Officers were dispatched at 10:31 a.m. on Dec. 7 after a report that unknown suspects had entered a vehicle and stolen property. During the investigation, officers identified and detained two juveniles, recovering some of the stolen items.

The juveniles were arrested on charges of theft from a motor vehicle and released to their parents pending a court appearance. In accordance with the Illinois Juvenile Justice Act, their names are not being released.
