Two men found dead after a business explosion in Louisville Kentucky

LOUISVILLE Ky. (KBSI) – Scary moments for a Louisville community as an explosion happened at Givaudan Sense Colour Plant.
The shocking scene turned deadly as two people were killed.
“I had just come home from work like 20 minutes before it happened and I was sitting there talking to my mother and, out of nowhere, a loud boom and, and it shook the house,” said a Louisville Resident.
Fire Captain Donovan Sims says the Louisville Fire Department was told multiple times that all employees were accounted for but yet the investigation is still underway.
“While crews were still on scene, information was given that there was someone who had not been located, as far as there was no contact with the individual,” said Sims.
At least eleven other workers were injured and were now learning the business produces colorings for food and drinks. Firefighters say they moved in to rescue and evacuated people as quickly as they could.
“One of our biggest priorities, obviously, is preserving life. We always do a thorough search. to our best ability. In a situation like this, we can only search as far as it is tenable. just due to the safety of, you know, all the members on scene,” said Sims.
Crews also removed rubble and debris to get to victims.
“What we did was we had members still there. We sent back out a rescue crew. We were able to, in a safe manner, establish safe tactics of setting up, assuring and and the stability to allow us to get kind of further into the structure once we were able to locate another victim that was under the rubble,” said Sims.
The Louisville Fire Department is not releasing names of the victims at this time.
