Two Murray residents arrested in Calloway County narcotics investigation

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — Two Murray residents were arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Calloway County Narcotics Unit made contact with Kent Braden, 19, and Malion D. Moore, 49, at a residence on North Fifth Street around 12:30 p.m. March 3. Both were taken into custody on charges related to a search warrant executed Feb. 6.

Authorities said marijuana and drug paraphernalia were observed in plain view during the earlier search and were located in close proximity to two juveniles.

Moore is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance involving 4 grams or more of cocaine, a Class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Braden is charged with trafficking in marijuana under 8 ounces, first offense, enhanced, a Class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were lodged in the Calloway County Detention Facility.
