Two Paducah residents arrested in Murray traffic stop

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — A traffic stop by the Murray Police Department led to the arrest of two Paducah, Ky., residents and the seizure of a firearm.

Jamal Branch, 33, was taken into custody on multiple outstanding felony arrest warrants, including charges of trafficking in controlled substances and parole violation.

He also faces a new charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The driver, Kiersa Atnip, 19, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of substances.

Both Branch and Atnip were lodged in the Calloway County Jail. The Murray Police Department was assisted by the Murray State University Police Department.
