U.S. 60 closed near Marion after tractor-trailer crash

FOX23 News at 9 p.m

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — U.S. 60 East is closed approximately one mile northeast of Marion following a tractor-trailer crash, according to the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said the truck was hauling tires when it crashed, leaving the highway impassable.

The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period while emergency crews conduct cleanup and recovery operations.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Officials also noted that the Kentucky 654 bridge east of Mattoon remains closed, preventing drivers from using that route as a detour between Marion and Mattoon.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
