Uptown Jackson announces Dec. 6 Christmas parade and holiday events

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) – The Uptown Jackson Revitalization Organization announced plans for its annual Uptown Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m. The event will feature a full day of holiday activities in the Uptown district.
Organizers said parade registration remains open for individuals and groups wishing to participate.
Festivities begin earlier in the day with holiday shopping promotions at Uptown Jackson businesses. The Merry Mile run will start at 4 p.m., leading into the evening parade. Local restaurants and cafés will offer food, beverages and seasonal treats throughout the day.
Following the parade, families are invited to visit Santa at the History Center.
Organizers said the event is intended to showcase Uptown Jackson’s small-town atmosphere, holiday décor and community traditions.
