VA offers $42M in grants to help homeless veterans
WASHINGTON (KBSI) — The Department of Veterans Affairs is making $42 million in grants available to organizations that provide legal services to homeless veterans and those at risk of homelessness.
The grants, worth up to $500,000, will fund operations for a two-year period beginning Oct. 1, 2025. Applications are due by 4 p.m. ET on July 7.
The funding is part of VA’s Legal Services for Veterans Grant Program, which aims to help veterans with legal issues such as landlord-tenant disputes, court proceedings and obtaining benefits.
“Legal services can make a huge difference in preventing or resolving homelessness among veterans,” said VA Secretary Doug Collins.
